Meet the team behind
Love on the Line
Hi, we're Niomi and Colin, the husband-and-wife team behind Love on the Line.

We're a small, family-run business based in Tunbridge Wells, covering weddings and celebrations across Kent and East Sussex. Colin is the one who restores every phone by hand, giving these beautiful vintage telephones a second life. I look after the couples we work with, from your first message to the moment you get your recordings back.

Between us, we pour a lot of heart into what we do, because we know these aren't just props for the day. They're voices you'll keep for a lifetime.

How it began
It started with a TikTok.

I sent my sister-in-law a video of an audio guestbook, one of those vintage style phones that lets your guests leave a voice message on the day. She loved it as much as I did. Then she looked at the price: over £400 to hire for one day. I told her to leave it with me.
That evening I asked Colin a question that started everything: "If I find an old phone, could you turn it into an audio guestbook?" He said yes!

So I went looking. In March 2025 I found our very first phone on Facebook Marketplace, bought from a lovely old chap called Roy. Colin then spent the best part of a year with it, restoring it by hand, coding, testing, and quietly building something we were proud of.
We put it to the test at my brother's wedding. By the end of the night they had over sixty messages saved, and so many guests told us how much they loved leaving one. Watching people light up as they picked up the handset, that was the moment we knew we had something special.

The timing felt like a sign. I'd been made redundant three months earlier, and rather than see it as a setback, we decided to take the leap and go all in. We just needed a name. That part we owe to my best friend Az, who came up with Love on the Line, and it was perfect. It stuck straight away.

Today, Colin is still restoring phones by hand, and he's never quite finished, always refining how they work, improving the little details, and building new ones. There's more coming, so watch this space. And I look after the couples we work with from first hello to final recording. We're a small, family-run team covering Kent and East Sussex, and we pour a lot of love into what we do, because we know what these recordings become: not just a bit of fun on the day, but voices you'll be able to listen back to for the rest of your life.

That's the whole reason we do this. Some messages are funny, some are heartfelt, some are from people who won't always be here to say them again. Every one of them is worth keeping.

We'd be honoured to be part of your day.
